A game of Ludo on Ghala Mandi Road in Khadian, Kasur, took a dark turn on Monday, transforming from a friendly pastime into a full-blown crime scene. What started as a simple roll of the dice ended with one man shot dead, another injured, and a community left wondering if Monopoly might be a safer option.
The drama began when Duran and Bilal Abbas, two local Ludo aficionados, found themselves in a heated argument over the game.

Insults flew faster than dice, and the tension escalated quickly. Feeling Duran’s dice roll may end the game, Bilal decided to call in his brother, Abu Bakr Abbas, presumably to literally end the game.
Abu Bakr Abbas arrived on the scene with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, armed and ready to defend his brother’s honor—or perhaps his Ludo strategy. Unfortunately, his aim was as off as his timing, and in the ensuing chaos, a passerby named Abu Bakr was shot in the head, meeting an untimely demise. While Muzamil Bhatti, another innocent bystander, was also caught in the crossfire.
Local police from Khadian Station are now left to unravel this tangled web of board game betrayal. As they piece together the events, one can only imagine the questions being asked: Was it a case of Ludo-induced rage? Did someone cheat by moving their token too many spaces? Or was it simply a tragic misunderstanding of the rules?
Local Ludo clubs are reportedly considering new safety measures, including mandatory anger management sessions and a strict “no firearms” policy at game nights.

In the end, it seems the only real winner was chaos, proving once again that in the game of life, sometimes the dice just don’t roll your way.
