After what felt like an eternity of delays and production hiccups, Marvel has finally blessed us with the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again.
The Disney+ series is set to premiere on March 4th, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it looks like Marvel is leaning hard into the gritty, bone-crunching vibe that made Netflix’s Daredevil such a hit.
Matt Murdock’s Back in NYC, and Fisk is Running for Mayor?!
When we last saw Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), he was out in Oklahoma getting into some trouble, but Born Again brings him back to his true stomping grounds: New York City. And guess who’s making life miserable for him again? None other than Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio).

But this time, Fisk isn’t just running the criminal underworld—he’s running for mayor. Yep, the Kingpin’s got a political campaign, and it looks like a lot of New Yorkers are buying into his promises to make the city “safer.” Of course, Matt doesn’t need his super senses to know that Fisk’s idea of “safe” probably involves a lot of shady deals and broken bones.
Old Friends, New Faces, and a Whole Lot of Trouble

The trailer gives us a quick look at some familiar faces, including Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), Matt’s ride-or-die crew. Oh, and did we mention Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) is back too? That’s right, The Punisher is here, and you just know his no-nonsense, shoot-first-ask-questions-later approach is going to clash with Matt’s more restrained (well, sometimes) methods.
But it’s not just the old gang making waves. The trailer also introduces some new players, like Hector Ayala, aka White Tiger (played by Kamar de los Reyes), a street-level hero who’s bound to shake things up. And then there’s Muse, a creepy, sadistic villain straight out of Charles Soule’s 2016 Daredevil comics run. We don’t know who’s playing Muse yet, but judging by the trailer, this guy’s going to bring some serious chaos to the table.
The Grit is Back, Baby

Let’s talk about the tone of this trailer because, wow, Marvel seems to be going all-in on the grit. There’s blood, there’s bone-crunching fight scenes, and there’s a sense of danger that feels a lot like the Netflix series we all loved. It’s clear Marvel is trying to recapture that raw, street-level energy that made Daredevil stand out from the rest of the MCU.
Sure, it’s on Disney+, so we’re not expecting R-rated levels of violence, but the trailer definitely suggests they’re pushing the boundaries. And honestly? That’s exactly what fans have been hoping for.
What’s the Deal with Born Again?
So, what can we expect from Daredevil: Born Again? Well, it looks like Matt’s going to have his hands full trying to take down Fisk’s political machine while also dealing with whatever chaos Muse and other villains are cooking up. Plus, with White Tiger in the mix, we might see some new alliances forming—or maybe some new rivalries.
The series is also likely to dive deeper into Matt’s struggles as both a lawyer and a vigilante, and let’s be real, the guy’s life is never easy. Add in the return of The Punisher, and you’ve got all the ingredients for a show that’s equal parts action-packed and emotionally intense.
The Wait is Almost Over
It’s been a long road to get here. Ever since Netflix’s Daredevil was canceled in 2018, fans have been clamoring for more of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock. His cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and his fun appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law were great appetizers, but this? This is the main course we’ve been waiting for.

With Daredevil: Born Again set to drop on March 4th, it’s time to start counting down the days. The trailer has us hyped, and if the show delivers on its promise of gritty action, compelling characters, and a whole lot of Matt vs. Fisk drama, it’s going to be one hell of a ride.
