Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was hospitalized in Juhu after a mishap involving his own revolver. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 1, when the 60-year-old star accidentally shot himself in the knee at his residence.

According to Mumbai Police, the actor’s licensed firearm misfired as he was preparing to leave for a flight to Kolkata. Govinda, celebrated for his vibrant roles in the 1990s and early 2000s, was alone at home when the accident happened.
His manager, Shashi Sinha, recounted the event, stating, “We had a 6 am flight to Kolkata for a show. Govinda ji was about to leave his residence when the revolver accidentally fell from the cupboard and misfired.”
Fortunately, the injury was not severe. Govinda was promptly taken to Criticare Hospital, where medical staff successfully removed the bullet.
He is now in stable condition and has been discharged to recover at home. In an audio message to his fans, Govinda expressed his gratitude for their support and well-wishes. “I was hit by a bullet, but it has been extracted,” he said.
